To further the attainment of the SDGs, Navoi State University (NSU ) collaborates closely with a variety of non-governmental organizations (NGOs). The institution participates in cooperative projects that seek to address regional and worldwide environmental issues through these collaborations. Through public talks, campaigns, and workshops, NSU works with NGOs to increase awareness of the various SDGs. These programs concentrate on important topics including gender equality, climate action, and sustainable development methods. In order to carry out community-based initiatives targeted at enhancing social and environmental circumstances, the university collaborates with NGOs. In addition to offering NSU students the chance to obtain practical experience in addressing real-world issues, these initiatives aim to develop durable, workable solutions for communities.
Student volunteering programmes
1. Active volunteer youth
🌱 Environmental Party of Uzbekistan in cooperation with Navoi City Council and Navoi State University organized a cleaning campaign under the slogan “We care about nature” as part of the youth tourism week.
👋 During the campaign, active members of the Navoi volunteer school also participated and were awarded souvenirs and letters of thanks by the official organizations.
2. A motivational meeting was held with the youth and captains of Navoi region Head of the Department of the Central Council of the Youth Union of Uzbekistan Lieutenant Colonel F. Sultanov, A. Yangiyev, Q. Hakimov, Deputy of the Department of Pre-school and School Education S. Uvaitovlar and the Chairman of the Regional Council J. Jumayev youth in the region and met the captains.

Volunteer student groups “Art_Stars” and “Creativ_Artists” organized under the Youth Union Council of Z. Bekboyev Faculty of Arts were also recognized for their active participation and effective activities.
3. A republic training seminar for volunteers is being held in the city of Navoi.
“Peer to Peer” principle for a total of 70 volunteers who visited from all regions of our republic in order to support volunteer activities and establish an eco-volunteer system in cooperation with the Volunteer Association of the Youth Affairs Agency of the Navoi State University and the Ecologist public association. on the basis of which a training seminar is held.
4. A group of active young volunteers of the Navoi State University went to the Zomin camp, to the seminar of the volunteer school.
5. The film “Volunteer” was made by the creators of the “Universe” volunteer school. The film is dedicated to the life of volunteers and shows the volunteering system in Uzbekistan.
⏰The premiere of the film will be held on June 22 at 15:00 in the activist hall of the Tashkent University of Architecture and Construction. Everyone can participate in the event.
6. December 3 “International Day of Persons with Disabilities”
🗣 Various social charity events, projects, activities are being held in the places on December 3 “International Day of Disabled People”.👥 In particular, the volunteer youth team at the technical school of public health named after Navoi Abu Ali Ibn Sina received information from the daughter of Eshqabilova Intizor Ulugbek, who lives in apartment 59, MFY Pushkin, 8a, Bunyodkor, Navoi city, and gave gifts.
7. Volunteers continue to contribute to worthy causes.
“I AM A DONOR” campaign was held with the participation of volunteers of the Navoi State University. Young volunteers of the institute took an active part in this action along with several organizations at the regional blood transfusion station.
8. As part of the nationwide “Green Space” (Yashil Makon) project aimed at protecting the environment, expanding green areas, and ensuring ecological sustainability, students from the Youth Organization of Navoi State University actively participated in a tree-planting campaign. In particular, members of the university’s “Qalqon” team supported this meaningful initiative by taking an active role in planting trees and beautifying the surrounding environment. Such noble activities not only contribute to increasing the number of green zones but also play a vital role in developing ecological awareness and responsibility among young people. Navoi State University community remains committed to continuing its active participation in similar environmental initiatives in the future.
10. In Navoi, the “Give Breath to the Trees” environmental campaign month is currently being held. As part of this initiative, inspections were carried out in the “Bahor” neighborhood of Navoi city, where 12 cases of environmental violations were identified. Among them, electric wires and lights had been attached to 8 trees, while the bases of 4 trees had been covered with concrete.Immediate action was taken to remove the harmful electrical fixtures and concrete coverings, after which the trees were watered and restored. Responsible representatives of business entities involved were officially warned about the violations. The “Give Breath to the Trees” campaign continues actively across the region, organized by the Youth and Student Organization of Navoi State University to promote environmental awareness and protect urban greenery.
Educational resources and research development
1. Navoi State University owns 13 libraries which located across the Navoi city. All Navoi residents are welcome to use these facilities. At the moment, the Information Resource Center with a source of 102,690 copies of books serves users in 8 study halls and 4 subscription rooms. In addition, the Information Resource Center is equipped with a number of computers, printers, scanners, and video projectors. About 158,109 full-text electronic literature in 35 categories is uploaded in the electronic library portal system. All the computers are equipped with more than 300 audio books and hearing aids in the e-learning hall for users with physical disabilities in the Information Resource Center of the University. There are also special places for disabled users in the classrooms. Moreover, all the sport and art clubs are open for public at our institute.
2. A scientific seminar was organized on the topic “Modern trends of science”.
In cooperation with Imam Bukhari International Research Center and Navoi State University, a scientific seminar on “Modern trends of science” was held.
In it, the chief adviser to the director of the Imam Bukhari International Research Center, professor Bakhtiyor Torayev, the head of the Department of Social Sciences, professor Nigora Safarova and other participants revealed the essence of philosophical thinking in the modern science system. The importance of synergistic methodology in the study of human intelligence and its adaptation in the rapid development of artificial intelligence, technical and technological processes in the digital society was justified. Also, ideas were exchanged about concepts of linear and non-linear development, as well as the formation of a system in a state of chaos.
3. On the initiative of the Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics of the Navoi State University, an international scientific and practical conference was held on the topic “Modern digital technologies in education: problems and prospects”. At the international conference, scientific comments were made about the global issues of digitization and their solutions.
4. The international research conference was opened by Ghairat Yodgorov, vice-rector for educational affairs of the Navoi State University, and expressed his views on the topic. Specialists from several higher educational institutions of Azerbaijan, Turkey and Germany participated in the conference. For example, foreign professors such as Nuray Gunesh, Dr. Iloha Qurbanli, Salida Sharifova, Sevda Rustemova, Zulfiya Guliyeva, Shabnam Guliyeva, Narmin Tarlan Hasanova gave their lectures. Also, the professor of the Institute of Uzbek language, literature and folklore, Yorqinjon Odilov, as well as scientists and specialists from a number of higher education institutions of our republic, participated in the conference.
5. Navoi State University and “KAFIL-SUG‘URTA” Join Forces to Support Student Development. Navoi State University has signed a cooperation memorandum with “KAFIL-SUG‘URTA” JSC to enhance students’ practical training and professional skills in the insurance sector. The partnership will provide hands-on experience, joint projects, seminars, trainings, and opportunities for innovative research. During the signing ceremony, both sides exchanged symbolic gifts, reflecting the friendly and collaborative spirit of the initiative. This collaboration aims to prepare competitive young specialists, promote the integration of education and practice, and open new opportunities for students’ professional growth.
6. Meeting at Navoi State University on Graduate Employment Opportunities
A meeting focused on graduate employment was held at Navoi State University. The guest, Mehmet Tarhan, Executive Director of “MENGI TEKSTIL GROUP”, met with NSU Rector, Professor Muxiddin Kalonov, to discuss bilateral cooperation, preparing graduates for the labor market, and facilitating their employment.
The discussion was also attended by Feruza Shamsiyeva, Deputy Head of the Navoi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, who shared suggestions to expand collaboration between companies and higher education institutions.
7. Eight Methodical Guides Developed for Career Guidance
To encourage students to pursue technical education and support them in making informed career choices, eight methodical guides have been developed. They include:

These guides were prepared under a project implemented in collaboration with the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation, Ministry of Preschool and School Education, the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ), and other partner organizations.
The guides are designed for vocational education institutions, managers, educators, and industry specialists. They aim to systematically organize career guidance, align students’ interests with labor market needs, and support informed career decisions.
