1. Community Service Activity for GreenMetric
Under the slogan “Prosperity of the country begins with the neighborhood,” Navoi State University actively participated in the nationwide community charity hashar aimed at improving environmental cleanliness and public spaces.
During the event, large-scale cleaning, landscaping, and beautification works were carried out across university academic buildings, dormitories, and surrounding areas. A total of 2,143 university members participated, including 1,379 students, demonstrating strong youth engagement in community and environmental responsibility.
As part of the “Yashil Makon” national initiative, maintenance activities were conducted for planted trees. In total, 1,392 trees were pruned and whitewashed. Additionally, 1.1 km of irrigation canals and drainage systems around the university were cleaned to ensure proper water flow.
The university also organized waste management activities, resulting in the removal of 10 tons of household and construction waste using specialized equipment. Flower planting areas were prepared, lighting systems were inspected and repaired, and irrigation systems were checked and improved.
The activity contributed to environmental sustainability, campus cleanliness, community engagement, and the promotion of green culture among students and staff.
2. Community Service Activities Dedicated to the International Day of Persons with Disabilities
In commemoration of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities on December 3, faculties of Navoi State University organized charity and social support activities aimed at promoting inclusion and community solidarity.
During the events, special attention was given to individuals in need of social protection through material and moral support initiatives. Faculty teams conducted direct communication sessions, cultural programs, and charity campaigns to encourage social inclusion and raise awareness about the importance of equal opportunities.
The Faculty of Exact Sciences and the Faculty of Preschool and Primary Education actively participated in these activities. Participants were presented with gifts and sincere appreciation for their determination, commitment to education, and efforts to achieve an active role in society.
The initiative strengthened social responsibility, empathy, and inclusive values among students and staff while contributing to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being), SDG 4 (Quality Education), SDG 10 (Reduced Inequalities), and SDG 16 (Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions).
3. Community Clean-Up Campaign Promoting Environmental Responsibility
In cooperation with the Ecological Party of Uzbekistan Navoi City Council and the Faculty of Languages of Navoi State University, an environmental clean-up campaign was organized to improve public cleanliness and promote ecological awareness.
During the event, activists, professors, and students actively participated in collecting waste and beautifying the surrounding area. Plastic and paper waste were separated and placed in designated collection points, while unnecessary weeds and litter were removed from the territory.
The initiative contributed not only to environmental cleanliness and campus beautification but also to strengthening ecological responsibility, environmental awareness, and sustainable behavior among young people. The activity supports the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities), SDG 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production), SDG 13 (Climate Action), and SDG 15 (Life on Land).
4. The First Step to Women’s Business” Project at NSU
At Navoi State University, the project titled “The First Step to Women’s Business” was launched to empower female students and encourage their active participation in entrepreneurship. Through this initiative, students gain practical knowledge about starting and managing a business, developing innovative ideas, and attracting investments. The program provides workshops, mentorship, and networking opportunities with successful entrepreneurs and investors. It aims to build confidence, creativity, and leadership skills among young women. By promoting women’s entrepreneurship, NSU contributes to the growth of future business leaders and supports gender equality in economic and social development across the region.
5. Psychological Support Services
Navoi State University provides a dedicated psychological support service aimed at promoting the mental health and emotional well-being of students, faculty, and staff. The service is completely free of charge and accessible to all members of the university community. Professional psychologists offer individual and group counseling sessions, stress management workshops, and personal development programs. All consultations are conducted in a confidential and supportive environment, ensuring that personal experiences and information are kept strictly private. Through these initiatives, NSU demonstrates its strong commitment to student welfare, emotional balance, and a healthy campus atmosphere conducive to academic success.
6. Handicraft Exhibition Events
Navoi State University regularly organizes Handicrafter Students’ Events to promote creativity, cultural heritage, and sustainability among students. During these events, talented students showcase handmade crafts, traditional artworks, recycled-material decorations, and eco-friendly products. The initiative not only celebrates Uzbekistan’s rich artistic traditions but also encourages environmentally conscious production and reuse of materials. The exhibition is open to all students, faculty, and visitors, fostering a sense of community engagement and appreciation for sustainable art. Through such activities, NSU inspires young people to combine innovation, culture, and environmental responsibility in their personal and academic development.
7. Embroidery and Weaving Service at NSU
At Navoi State University, the “Embroidery and Weaving” service is a creative initiative organized by talented students of the institute. This activity focuses mainly on traditional manual work, where students produce beautifully handcrafted items such as embroidered fabrics, decorative textiles, and woven accessories. Regular exhibitions are held to showcase their artwork, attracting visitors and buyers from within and outside the university community. Many of these handmade products are sold at a high value, reflecting both their artistic quality and cultural significance. This service provides students with practical skills, income opportunities, and a platform to preserve Uzbekistan’s rich cultural heritage.
