1. International Cooperation Expands at Navoi State University
A delegation from Bucheon University visited Navoi State University. The main purpose of the visit was to establish a Korean Language Center at the university and to further strengthen cooperation between the two higher education institutions.
Within the framework of the visit, an official meeting was held between the Rector of Navoi State University, Professor Muxiddin Kalonov, and the President of Bucheon University, Han Chung Such. At the conclusion of the meeting, the parties signed a cooperation agreement aimed at enhancing bilateral relations.
According to the agreement, priority areas of collaboration include the implementation of academic mobility programs, the organization of faculty exchange, the development of summer schools and short-term educational programs, as well as the advancement of joint projects in the field of artificial intelligence.
2. Navoi State University Delegation Actively Participates in International Forum in Malaysia
These days, a delegation from Navoi State University is actively participating in an international forum held in Melaka at a prestigious university. The forum, titled “Empowering the Potential of Women Scientists in Ensuring Innovation and Sustainable Development,” brings together women scholars from universities in Uzbekistan and Malaysia.
At the forum, the Vice-Rector for International Cooperation of the university, D. Narzikulova, delivered a speech on the topic “Cooperation and Mobility Programs between Universities of Uzbekistan and Malaysia: Joint Research and Innovative Projects with Active Participation of Women.”
One of the most remarkable aspects of the forum was the cultural presentation by students of the Faculty of Art Studies of Navoi State University. Their performances of national songs, traditional dances, and musical instruments left a strong and positive impression on all participants.
3. Strengthening International Collaboration through Professional Development in China
A group of 12 professors and lecturers from the Faculty of Exact Sciences of Navoi State University are currently participating in advanced training courses in the China.
As part of this program held in Chongqing, the delegation is gaining in-depth insight into the activities of Chongqing Industry Polytechnic College, while exploring best practices in artificial intelligence, digital technologies, and engineering fields.
The participants are also visiting modern practical training centers, exchanging experience with leading experts, and actively taking part in seminars and training sessions focused on current reforms in the education system.
This professional development program plays a significant role in strengthening international cooperation, enhancing the quality of education, and implementing advanced foreign practices into academic processes.
4. Cooperation Agreement Signed between Navoi State University and Tajik International University of Foreign Languages
Within the framework of the III Forum of Rectors of higher education institutions of Uzbekistan and Tajikistan held in Dushanbe, a number of important agreements were reached to further develop academic cooperation between universities of the two countries.
During the forum, the Rector of Navoi State University, Professor Muhiddin Kalonov, and the Rector of Tajik International University of Foreign Languages named after Sotim Ulugzoda, Professor Jilo Gulnazarzoda, signed a Memorandum of Understanding.
This document establishes a legal and practical framework for mutually beneficial cooperation between the two institutions in the fields of education, science, and academic exchange. The memorandum outlines collaboration in areas such as faculty and student exchange, joint scientific research, organization of international scientific and practical conferences, seminars and training sessions, implementation of modern educational programs, and sharing of advanced experiences.
The parties also agreed to strengthen academic ties, improve the quality of education, support young scientists and researchers, and expand international scientific cooperation through joint initiatives.

5. Memorandum Signed to Strengthen International Cooperation
Within the framework of the Uzbekistan–Tajikistan Rectors’ Forum, the Rector of Navoi State University, Professor Muhiddin Kalonov, and Khujand State University signed a memorandum of cooperation.
In particular, the agreement outlines plans to develop collaboration in priority areas such as advancing scientific research, organizing faculty and student exchange programs, conducting joint research projects, conferences and seminars, and introducing advanced practices and modern approaches into the educational process.
This memorandum is expected to strengthen cooperation in higher education between Uzbekistan and Tajikistan, promote the integration of science and education, and expand international academic relations.
6. A Significant Step Towards International Cooperation
Navoi State University and Semmelweis University have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at strengthening cooperation in education, science, and academic exchange.
The agreement will facilitate student and faculty mobility, joint scientific research, international conferences, and professional development programs between the two institutions.
Semmelweis University, founded in 1769 and located in Budapest, is one of Europe’s leading medical universities. It has strong academic expertise in medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, and health sciences.

Within the framework of the Third Uzbekistan–Hungary Rectors’ Forum held in Samarkand, key issues such as the development of modern higher education, strengthening scientific cooperation, and supporting innovative ideas and initiatives are being widely discussed.
During the forum, the Rector of Navoi State University, Professor Muhiddin Kalonov, and the Rector of University of Sopron, Professor Attila Fábián, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at further enhancing cooperation between the two institutions.
This memorandum is intended to elevate bilateral relations to a new level and covers the following key areas of collaboration:

Located in the picturesque city of Sopron, near the Austrian border, the university traces its origins back to 1735 with the establishment of a mining and metallurgy school. Today, it offers high-quality education in forestry, wood technology, economics, pedagogy, and the arts.
8. Welcoming foreign students for international medical faculty for foreign students
A new group of international students has begun their studies at Navoi State University. At the start of the current academic year, nearly 100 students from Egypt, the UAE, India, and Nepal were admitted to the medical program at the university. To welcome the newcomers, an introductory meeting was organized for students and their parents, where they were familiarized with the university’s academic system, facilities, and student support services. During the event, international students visited lecture halls, laboratories, the Information Resource Center, and student dormitories, expressing their satisfaction with the study environment and hospitality. 9. Navoi State University visited UCSI University in Malaysia
Following the establishment of new partnership ties, representatives of Navoi State University visited UCSI University in Malaysia — an institution ranked 264th in the QS World University Rankings. During the visit, the delegation held a warm and friendly meeting with the university’s leadership to discuss strategic goals for academic and research collaboration. A presentation about Navoi State University was delivered, highlighting its academic achievements, innovative initiatives, and commitment to sustainability. The delegation also became acquainted with UCSI University’s modern laboratories, media centers, and student facilities, and engaged in meaningful discussions with colleagues about joint educational and research opportunities. This visit marks an important step toward expanding international cooperation and promoting sustainable academic partnerships between Uzbekistan and Malaysia.
10. Sejong Institute to Be Established at Navoi State University
On January 27, the Rector of Navoi State University, Professor Muhiddin Kalonov, and the Rector of Calvin University, Hwang Kun Yung, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA).
Under this agreement, the parties will collaborate in key areas such as conducting joint scientific research, establishing faculty and student exchange programs, expanding cooperation through international conferences and seminars, and enhancing the exchange of educational and scientific materials.
In addition, an agreement has been reached to establish a Sejong Institute at Navoi State University in 2026.
This initiative is expected to further strengthen international cooperation and promote the study of the Korean language and culture, while creating new academic and cultural opportunities for students and faculty members.
11. International Scientific Cooperation Strengthens at Navoi State University
Today, the Rector of Navoi State University, M.B. Kalonov, received Mr. Yang Guang Guoqiang, Director of the Western Industry–Education Integration Research Institute based in Chongqing, Western Industry–Education Integration Research Institute. The Head of the Vocational Education Department of Navoi Region, F. To‘xtayev, also participated in the meeting.
During the discussion, the parties addressed the establishment of a joint scientific research center at Navoi State University. The talks focused on the main areas of cooperation, the priority tasks of the center, as well as upcoming joint scientific and innovative projects planned for implementation.
This visit and the negotiations held were recognized as an important step toward further enhancing the university’s scientific potential, expanding international academic cooperation, and developing modern innovative research initiatives.
12. Three Academic Programs at Navoi State University Successfully Accredited Internationally
From September 17–19 this year, a delegation from ACQUIN conducted an evaluation of three academic programs at Navoi State University: English Language and Literature, Biology, and Mathematics.
During the three-day visit, international experts thoroughly reviewed the university’s libraries, infrastructure, laboratories, registrar services, and other relevant departments in accordance with established accreditation standards.
In their final conclusion, the experts highly commended the quality of education in these programs and officially announced that the English Language and Literature, Biology, and Mathematics programs have successfully achieved full international accreditation without any additional conditions (unconditional accreditation).
This achievement marks an important milestone in enhancing the university’s international recognition and improving the quality of higher education.
13. International Cooperation Established between Navoi State University and Sejong University (South Korea)
International cooperation has been established between Navoi State University and the prestigious Sejong University.
This partnership aims to develop collaboration in the following areas:

✅ joint academic programs and training sessions,
✅ future opportunities for additional grants and scholarship-based education.
Sejong University is a prestigious higher education institution located in Seoul, South Korea, and is highly ranked in both national and international rankings.
In the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2025, the university is ranked 7th among Korean universities and placed in the 201–250 range globally.
Sejong University has approximately 14,000–15,000 students, including over 2,000 international students. It also offers various undergraduate and graduate programs in English for international students.
In the future, opportunities for Navoi State University students to study, intern, and participate in research projects at Sejong University are expected to expand significantly.
14. Navoi State University Delegation Strengthens International Cooperation in China
From December 7–11, 2025, a delegation consisting of representatives from the Navoi Regional Department of Higher Education, Science and Innovation, Navoi State University, and vocational education institutions completed an official working visit to China.
During the visit, several strategic agreements were reached aimed at developing international cooperation in education, science, and industry integration.
In particular, a cooperation agreement was signed with the Western China Research Institute on Academia–Industry Integration to establish a “China–Uzbekistan Vocational Education, Industry and Scientific Research Center” at Navoi State University. The project is valued at 1.7 million USD.
In addition, cooperation agreements were signed with Changchun Polytechnic University and Wuwei University of Technology, creating new opportunities for academic exchange, joint educational programs, and innovative research collaboration.
This visit is expected to significantly enhance international cooperation, strengthen integration between education, science, and industry, and expand innovative academic initiatives.
15. Cooperation Agreement Signed between Navoi State University and Bucheon University
Within the framework of the prestigious international forum “The 2nd Korea–Uzbekistan University Presidents’ Forum: Higher Education Innovation and Global Future Talent Development in the AI Era: Korea–Uzbekistan Cooperation” held in Seoul, a formal cooperation agreement was signed between Navoi State University and Bucheon University.
The agreement aims to strengthen international cooperation between the two universities and promote collaboration in higher education innovation and global talent development in the era of artificial intelligence.
16. The international innovation platform “Innoweek.uz”
Navoi State University actively participates in the international innovation platform “Innoweek.uz”, which has been held annually since 2018 to accelerate innovative development in Uzbekistan. The event aims to promote the implementation of advanced technologies across all sectors of the economy and to strengthen human capital, science, and innovation. In InnoWeek-2025, held under the slogan “Ideas Without Borders,” high-ranking officials such as Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration on Education Reform X. Umarova, Chairperson of the Committee on Family and Women Affairs Z. Maxkamova, Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation Q. Sharipov, along with leaders of various ministries, diplomats, researchers, technology experts, startup ecosystem participants, and the Navoi State University team took part in the opening ceremony, highlighting the country’s and the university’s commitment to innovation and sustainable progress.
17. International scientific-practical conference on the topic "Prospects for the development of science, technology, natural sciences, technology and digital education "ASEDU-IV "
Navoi State University hosted an international scientific-practical conference on the topic “Prospects for the development of science, technology, natural sciences, technology and digital education “ASEDU-IV “. Representatives of a number of prestigious higher education institutions of the Russian Federation participated in it online.
At the international conference held under the leadership of the rector of the Navoi State University , professor M Kalonov , researchers, professors, teachers, doctoral students from the institute and the leading universities of our republic, as well as St. Petersburg University teacher Anastasia Pivovarova, director of the Krasnoyarsk Science and Technology Center, Igor Kovalyov and other scientists participated with scientific lectures and presentations.

18. International Collabaration with Geely Holding
Navoi State University has taken another significant step in expanding its international cooperation network by establishing a strategic partnership with the world-renowned and prestigious Chinese corporation — Geely Holding. For reference, Geely Holding is a global leader in the fields of automobile manufacturing, technology, and innovation. Its key educational division, Geely Talent Development Group, currently operates nine modern and innovative educational institutions around the world.
During an official visit to China, the leadership of Navoi State University held a productive meeting with Zoe Che, Vice President of Geely Corporation. The discussions, conducted in an atmosphere of openness and mutual respect, focused on exploring the prospects of long-term cooperation between the two sides.
As a result of these negotiations, it was agreed to establish the “Navoi Xinwei Institute” under Navoi State University. This institute will develop and implement specialized educational programs designed for students from Uzbekistan, Central Asia, and other parts of the world.
The new institution will introduce an AI-based hybrid education model that meets international standards. Additionally, with the investments of the Geely Talent Development Group, a Chinese Language Center will be opened at Navoi State University.
This center will offer a wide range of academic and professional opportunities, including joint educational programs, short-term qualification courses, and exchange programs for students and faculty members.
19. Internship in the Republic of Tatarstan
Navoi State University Students Undertake Internship in the Republic of Tatarstan. A group of talented students from Navoi State University have been sent to the Republic of Tatarstan as part of an internationally recognized grant project to participate in internships and gain practical experience.
This initiative represents a concrete outcome of the university’s international cooperation efforts. It aims to strengthen students’ theoretical knowledge while integrating them into real-world production, research, and scientific processes.
During the internship, students will engage with leading higher education institutions, research centers, and various enterprises in Tatarstan, gaining valuable hands-on experience and fostering professional and academic growth.
