1. Ecological campaign
As part of the ecological campaign “Yashil makon – kelajak poydevori”, dedicated to the 35th anniversary of the state independence of the Republic of Uzbekistan, a tree-planting event was organized by the Faculty of Exact Sciences of Navoiy State University in cooperation with the Navoiy City Council of the Ecological Party of Uzbekistan. During the event, students and staff planted more than 10 cherry seedlings, contributing to the greening, beautification, and ecological improvement of the university area.
This initiative is closely connected with the university’s waste management and sustainability efforts. By expanding green areas, the event promotes a cleaner campus environment, reduces pollution, and encourages responsible attitudes toward nature and campus cleanliness. In the future, organic residues such as leaves and small branches from green areas can be collected separately and reused for composting or soil enrichment, supporting organic waste reduction and circular waste management principles.
The active participation of students also helped raise environmental awareness and strengthen practical understanding of waste prevention, proper waste handling, and responsible use of natural resources. Thus, the campaign demonstrates Navoiy State University’s commitment to building an environmentally responsible campus community and integrating waste management awareness into student activities.
2. A campus clean-up campaign
A campus clean-up campaign was organized in cooperation with the Navoiy City Council of the Ecological Party of Uzbekistan and the Faculty of Languages of Navoiy State University. The event brought together activists, teachers, and students to improve the cleanliness and environmental condition of the surrounding area.
During the campaign, participants collected waste, cleaned the territory, and carried out beautification works. Special attention was given to waste sorting: plastic and paper waste were separated and placed in designated collection areas, while unnecessary grass and weeds were removed from the site. These activities directly support the university’s waste management efforts by promoting proper waste segregation, reducing litter, and encouraging responsible treatment of campus and public spaces.
The initiative also served as an important awareness-raising activity for students. Through their practical participation, young people developed a stronger sense of ecological responsibility, cleanliness, and sustainable behavior. 3. A mass plogging eco-campaign
On April 17 2026, students of the Faculty of Languages of Navoiy State University organized a mass plogging eco-campaign under the slogan “Nature Without Waste!” in the Yangiariq neighborhood of Karmana district. The event was carried out by students and tutors from the Uzbek Language and Literature, Philology and Language Teaching, and Karakalpak Language programs.
During the campaign, participants were divided into small groups and carried out cleaning activities in designated areas. They collected litter, sorted waste, and helped improve the cleanliness of the local environment. Necessary equipment such as plastic bags, gloves, antiseptic products, T-shirts, and caps was provided to ensure safe and effective participation. The most active participants and those who collected the largest amount of waste were awarded diplomas, certificates of appreciation, and memorable gifts in various nominations.
This eco-action is directly connected with waste management, as it promoted practical waste collection, waste segregation, litter reduction, and responsible environmental behavior. By sorting collected waste, students strengthened their understanding of recyclable materials and the importance of separating waste at the source. The campaign also helped raise public awareness about reducing waste, keeping neighborhoods clean, and preventing pollution in community areas.
4.The nationwide charity hashar
As part of the nationwide charity Khashar held under the slogan “Prosperity of the country begins with the mahalla!”, clean-up and greening activities were organized at the Faculty of Economics and the Faculty of Arts and Sports of Navoiy State University. Professors, tutors, and students actively participated in the event by cleaning the faculty areas, improving the surroundings, and contributing to campus beautification.
During the Khashar, the territories were put in order, waste and unnecessary materials were collected, and cleanliness activities were carried out. In addition, 25 fruit and ornamental seedlings were planted, making a meaningful contribution to the nationwide “Yashil makon” movement.
This initiative is closely connected with the university’s waste management and sustainability efforts. 5. Mass Khashar activities
Mass Khashar activities are continuing at Navoi State University as part of the nationwide charity clean-up initiative. Large-scale beautification and sanitation works are being carried out across all faculties of the university. The areas around academic buildings, as well as the internal spaces of faculty buildings, are being cleaned, organized, and improved.
Professors, staff members, and students are actively participating in the process and contributing to maintaining a clean, healthy, and well-organized university environment. During the hashar, waste materials are collected, unnecessary items are removed, and campus areas are put in order.

6. Organic waste management compaigns
Navoiy State University organizes the separate collection of organic waste as part of its sustainable waste management system. This process is coordinated by the Maintenance Department in cooperation with the Youth Union, ensuring both operational management and active student involvement.
Organic waste, including dry leaves, grass, weeds, small branches, plant residues, and food-related biodegradable waste from campus areas and canteens, is collected separately from plastic, paper, metal, and general waste. This helps reduce mixed waste, prevent pollution, and support cleaner campus conditions.
Collected organic waste can be reused for composting and soil enrichment, contributing to the maintenance of green areas, flowerbeds, trees, and lawns. Through this practice, the university promotes circular waste management, responsible waste segregation, and environmental awareness among students and staff.
7. Green Area Maintenance and Organic Waste Management at Navoiy State University
At Navoiy State University, green area maintenance and organic waste management are carried out as part of the university’s sustainable campus practices. 8. Khashar event- cleaning compaign
Today, a Khashar event was organized at the Faculty of Economics of Navoiy State University to strengthen cleanliness, sanitation, and beautification activities within the faculty building. The initiative covered classrooms, offices, administrative rooms, and common-use areas, creating a cleaner and more comfortable environment for both teaching and working processes.
Professors, administrative staff, and technical service employees actively participated in the event. During the hashar, rooms were thoroughly cleaned, furniture and equipment were arranged, unnecessary items were sorted, and the sanitary-hygienic condition of the faculty premises was improved. 9. Plogging event within the “Green Games” environmental series!
A plogging event was held under the slogan “We run for nature” as part of the “Green Games” environmental activities, with the participation of members of the Navoiy regional Council of the Young Environmentalists’ Movement. During the event, participants not only ran but also carried out environmental clean-up activities. This is not only a promotion of a healthy lifestyle, but also a vivid expression of care for nature. This initiative serves to enhance the ecological awareness of young people and to foster in them a sense of love and responsibility toward nature.
10. Eco Beauty – Inspiration from Nature, Beauty through Creativity
On November 3 of this year, the “Eco Beauty – Inspiration from Nature, Beauty through Creativity” contest was held among students of Navoiy State University in cooperation with members of the Navoiy regional Young Environmentalists’ Movement. The purpose of the event was to develop ecological thinking among youth, harmonize love for nature with creativity, and widely promote the idea of environmental protection.
During the contest, students’ creative works, decorative and applied art pieces inspired by natural landscapes, and eco-fashion designs were showcased. The most active participants were awarded honorary diplomas and memorable gifts. Nature is the source of beauty, and protecting it is the duty of us all!
11. Environmental Awakening at Yoshlik Lake!
On November 11, a meaningful plogging event was organized around Yoshlik Lake at the initiative of the Navoiy regional Young Environmentalists’ Movement, led by Organizational Affairs Manager Z. Narzullayeva. During the event, the team of young participants not only ran but also cleared the natural area of various types of waste, making a valuable contribution to improving the environment. The event helped increase environmental responsibility among youth, promote a healthy lifestyle, and foster a caring attitude toward nature. Such noble initiatives not only benefit the environment but also make a significant contribution to raising ecological awareness in society.

“A Clean Environment — the Choice of a Responsible Generation”
On December 14, at the initiative of Z. Narzullayeva, Organizational Affairs Manager of the Navoiy regional Council of the Young Environmentalists’ Movement, cleaning and beautification activities were carried out in the faculty area where she studies and its surrounding environment. Through this initiative, not only was the area cleaned, but the concepts of environmental responsibility, attention to a clean environment, and personal example were strengthened among students. It was once again demonstrated in practice that every small step can lead to significant changes.

13. “Green Idea” Mini-Startup Competition Successfully Held at Navoiy State University
Today, the “Green Idea” mini-startup competition was successfully held by Muqimova Nazora, Manager of Ecological Innovation, Startups, and Grants of the Navoiy regional Council of the Young Environmentalists’ Movement. Participants presented their interesting and relevant ideas aimed at environmental protection through 3-minute presentations. Each project embodied the idea of protecting nature, increasing ecological awareness, and taking a step toward a green future.
At the end of the competition, the most active and innovative ideas were awarded certificates of appreciation.
The “Green Idea” competition played an important role in encouraging young people to think ecologically and supporting their initiatives.

14. “We Protect Ecology” Lecture Held at Navoiy State University
On December 18, a lecture titled “We Protect Ecology” was held under the leadership of Hamroyeva Zulxumor, Manager for Work with Educational Institutions of the Navoiy regional Council of the Young Environmentalists’ Movement. The main purpose of this lecture was to foster a responsible attitude toward nature among students, enhance ecological awareness, and explain the importance of environmental protection.
During the lecture, topics such as the concept of ecology, factors that pollute the environment, and the protection of air, water, and soil were discussed. In addition, detailed information was provided on proper waste disposal, waste sorting and recycling, the preservation of green areas, tree planting, and the rational use of natural resources.
15. Best Ecological Project
Today, the “Best Ecological Project” review competition was held by Muqimova Nazora, Manager of Ecological Innovation, Startups, and Grants of the Navoiy regional Council of the Young Environmentalists’ Movement.
During the competition, participants demonstrated their creativity and environmental responsibility through models and projects made from reusable materials. The presented works contributed to environmental protection, the rational use of resources, and the development of ecological thinking in society.

16. Scientific Articles Day on Ecology
Today, the “Scientific Articles Day on Ecology” event was held by Marjona Qurbonova, Manager of Scientific Research Activities of the Navoiy regional Council of the Young Environmentalists’ Movement.
During the event, students presented their 1–2 page scientific observations and ideas related to ecology. Participants delivered meaningful and engaging presentations on environmental protection, ecological problems, and their solutions.
This event contributed to increasing young people’s ecological knowledge, developing their scientific thinking, and strengthening their interest in research.

On this occasion, a meaningful lecture was organized by the Council of the Young Environmentalists’ Movement under the leadership of Z. Narzullayeva, Manager of Organizational Affairs. On March 11 of this year, a meaningful seminar titled “The Negative Impact of Batteries on the Environment” was organized by Ismatova Gulsanam, Manager of the Council of the Young Environmentalists’ Movement of the Navoiy region.

On March 13 of this year, a meaningful seminar was organized under the slogan “Let’s Save Water Together” by Xudoyberdiyev Asilbek, Manager for Work with Educational Institutions of the Council of the Young Environmentalists’ Movement.
During the seminar, participants were provided with detailed information about the importance of water resources in nature and human life, the urgency of water conservation, and ways to use water efficiently in daily life.
Such events play an important role in fostering a sense of love and responsibility toward nature among the younger generation.
26. PLANTING / CLEAN-UP CAMPAIGN HELD IN SARMISHSOY
On March 14 of this year, within the nationwide public cleanup campaign held under the slogan “The prosperity of the homeland begins with the neighborhood!”, large-scale beautification and improvement works were carried out at the Sarmishsoy State Museum-Reserve—known as the “open-air museum” that preserves the largest and unique collection of rock carvings in Uzbekistan.
The event brought together youth, neighborhood activists, youth leaders, elders, members of the “Young Ecologists” Movement Council, volunteer youth, active students from higher education institutions, and leaders of children’s organizations. Together, they carried out extensive environmental improvement and cleaning activities in the area.
