These systems not only prevent incidents but also enhance preparedness and response in case of emergencies.
1. Educational Programs
Navoi State University regularly organizes educational programs on security and safety to ensure the well-being of all students, staff, and visitors. These programs include workshops, seminars, and practical trainings on fire safety, first aid, emergency evacuation, and personal security. Through these activities, participants learn how to respond effectively in critical situations. The university also collaborates with local emergency services to provide real-life demonstrations and guidance. Such initiatives strengthen safety culture on campus and promote awareness, responsibility, and preparedness among the university community.
2. Surveillance and Monitoring
To deter criminal activity and support incident investigation, closed-circuit surveillance (CCTV) cameras have been installed in high-traffic and vulnerable areas such as building entrances, corridors, and parking lots. The footage is continuously monitored to ensure proactive threat detection and response. A staff member watches several CCTV camera screens on a large screen.
3. Fire Safety Infrastructure
NSU is equipped with comprehensive fire safety equipment, including smoke detectors, alarm systems, fire extinguishers, and marked evacuation routes. Regular fire drills and safety inspections are conducted to maintain readiness and compliance with fire safety standards.
4. Accessible First Aid Stations
Multiple first aid stations are located close to the campus and are stocked with essential medical supplies. Trained personnel are available to offer immediate care until further medical help is obtained if needed. This close geographical location facilitates fast coordination during emergencies, promotes joint educational and preventive programs, and supports the university’s commitment to ensuring a safe and collaborative learning environment.
5. BE AWARE OF CYBERCRIME!
In order to improve students’ digital literacy, raise awareness about potential risks when using the internet and social networks, and strengthen their knowledge and skills in protecting themselves from cybercrime, a roundtable discussion titled “Be Aware of Cybercrime!” was held at the Faculty of Exact Sciences of Navoi State University in cooperation with the officer of the Navoi Regional Department of Internal Affairs for Combating Crimes in the Field of Information Technologies, B. Khojimurodov.
During the event, detailed information was provided about the most common types of cybercrimes, including:
theft of personal data
fraud through bank cards
deception and hacking of accounts via social networks
misleading youth through fake advertisements and false job offers
Specialists also emphasized practical cybersecurity guidelines for students:

✅ Avoid opening suspicious links and files
✅ Do not share personal information with strangers
✅ Enable two-factor authentication (2FA) on social media accounts

6. OCTOBER 13 — INTERNATIONAL NATURAL DISASTER RISK REDUCTION DAY
On the occasion of the date, an educational and practical seminar was organized at the Faculty of Natural Sciences of NavDPI in cooperation with the Navoi Regional Department of FVV.
The event was attended by the deputy head of the Regional Emergency Management Department, Colonel B. Kuvandikov, the head of the Department of Civil and Labor Protection, H. Tursunov, professors and teachers of the faculty and students.
The officials who spoke at the seminar touched on the importance of a number of preventive measures and roundtable discussions held in our region in connection with this day.
Detailed explanations were given on issues such as ensuring civil protection, teaching the population to move properly in emergency situations, which are important factors in the elimination of natural disasters.
Also, at the end of the event, the employees of the special rescue squad presented an exhibition of their techniques and equipment.
7. The students were explained about the prevention of emergency situations, their prevention and elimination
“Fire Safety Month” is being held from November 15, 2024 to December 15, 2024. As part of the “Fire Safety Month” that is taking place throughout our country, educational and practical training events and preventive meetings are being organized.
Similar events are being held at Navoi State University. In particular, recently, in cooperation with the Department of Civil and Labor Protection of the university and the Regional Emergency Management, an event was held with the participation of students of the Faculty of Physical Culture on the prevention of emergency incidents related to “Is gas”. He explained the importance of “Fire Safety Month”, its relevance, promotion of alertness among the population, including students. The participants of the event were also told about fire safety requirements, elimination of the initial fire in the event of an emergency fire, and a video film was shown on the topic. After that, professors and students were given a demonstration training on fire prevention and elimination by Captain A. Akatov, senior inspector of the FVB of Navoi city, near the educational building of the Faculty of Physical Culture. was conducted.
