1. Environmental Knowledge Day
In honor of April 15 – Environmental Knowledge Day, a meaningful seminar-training titled “Environmental Knowledge and Culture – The Foundation of Sustainable Development” was held by the “Young Ecologists” team of Navoi region. Active eco-volunteers from the region took part in the event.
The seminar was led by Mokhinurkhon Ergasheva, Head of the Youth Affairs Department of the Central Council of the Ecological Party of Uzbekistan. In her speech, she emphasized the importance of promoting environmental culture and awareness among young people, encouraging them not to remain indifferent to ecological issues, and fostering a sustainable lifestyle in society.
2."Let's Protect the Earth" Round-table Discussion
“In accordance with Presidential Decree PQ-171 regarding the effective organization of the Ministry of Ecology, Environmental Protection, and Climate Change, March 20th is celebrated as ‘Earth Day’ in our country.
On March 20, 2025, the Faculty of Preschool and Primary Education of Navoi State University hosted a round-table discussion titled ‘Let’s Protect the Earth’ to mark the occasion. The event was organized with the active participation of student organizations. Representatives from the Regional Department of Ecology participated in the discussion, providing students with detailed information on sustainable land use and the ongoing efforts to establish ‘green covers’ to improve the ecological situation in the Aral Sea region.
This initiative served to increase students’ awareness of national ecological strategies and their role in environmental protection.”
3."Protecting the Ecology: A Collective Responsibility"
“Air pollution is currently one of the most concerning global problems, severely affecting human health, environmental stability, and the quality of life for future generations.
In response to this challenge, the Navoi Regional Council of the ‘Young Ecologists Movement’ has produced a special video campaign aimed at combating air pollution and raising environmental awareness among youth and the general public. This digital initiative serves as a powerful tool to educate the community on the importance of clean air and encourages active participation in environmental protection efforts.”
4. In Navoi, the “Give Breath to the Trees” environmental campaign month is currently being held.
As part of this initiative, inspections were carried out in the “Bahor” neighborhood of Navoi city, where 12 cases of environmental violations were identified. Among them, electric wires and lights had been attached to 8 trees, while the bases of 4 trees had been covered with concrete.
Immediate action was taken to remove the harmful electrical fixtures and concrete coverings, after which the trees were watered and restored. Responsible representatives of business entities involved were officially warned about the violations.
The “Give Breath to the Trees” campaign continues actively across the region, organized by the Youth and Student Organization of Navoi State University to promote environmental awareness and protect urban greenery.
5. Establishment of "Yashil Bog‘" (Green Garden)
“A new ‘Yashil Bog‘’ (Green Garden) has been established in the territory of the Sardoba neighborhood in Karmana district. Within the framework of this ecological initiative, the area was landscaped, and a significant number of new tree seedlings were planted.
The event saw the participation of the Rector of Navoi State University, Professor M. Kalonov, who personally took part in the tree-planting process, demonstrating his commitment to this noble cause. Students of the university also participated actively, contributing to environmental protection and the expansion of green spaces.
This project not only improves the beautification of the local area but also serves to enhance environmental culture and awareness within the community.”
6. “A Prosperous and Beautiful Neighborhood — The Pride of Our Nation” for.
As part of the community clean-up campaign, active members of the Navoi Regional “Young Ecologists” Movement Council and students of Navoi State University took an active part, contributing their initiative and hard work to this noble cause. Students contributing to the improvement of neighborhoods, country will become even more prosperous, peaceful, and beautiful.
7. “Plogging Tour” and “Picnic Culture” Campaign
An ecological campaign titled “Plogging Tour” (collecting waste while jogging) and “Picnic Culture” was initiated, organized, and led by student volunteers of Navoi State University at eco-tourism sites in the Navoi region.
The campaign brought together Youth Union coordinators and active university students, who worked collaboratively to promote environmental responsibility and sustainable outdoor recreation practices.
During the initiative, participants demonstrated responsible waste management by collecting and sorting litter while engaging in recreational activities. The main goal of the campaign was to foster ecological awareness among the wider public and encourage environmentally friendly behavior in everyday life.
The university administration highly appreciated the students’ leadership, initiative, and proactive contribution to raising ecological awareness and preserving the natural beauty of the region.
8."ECO – ZAKOVAT" Intellectual Competition Held at Navoi State University
The Council of the “Young Ecologists” movement of the Navoi region organized an intellectual competition titled “ECO – ZAKOVAT” at Student Dormitory №. 1 of Navoi State University, marking the “Day of Nature Reserves and National Parks.”During the event, participants tested their knowledge and analytical skills regarding nature reserves, national parks, biodiversity, and environmental protection. Through engaging questions, debates, and team competitions, the youth once again demonstrated their commitment to environmental issues. |
This event served to enhance ecological knowledge and culture among students, foster a responsible attitude toward nature, and strengthen an active environmental position.
9. “Zero-Waste Nature!” — Student-Led Plogging Eco-Action
A large-scale plogging eco-action under the slogan “Zero-Waste Nature!” was organized in the “Yangiariq” neighborhood of Karmana district.
The event was conducted by students and tutors of the Faculty of Languages, including those majoring in Uzbek Language and Literature, Philology and Language Teaching, and Karakalpak Language. During the campaign, participants were divided into small groups and carried out waste collection, sorting, and cleaning activities in designated areas. They were provided with necessary equipment such as plastic bags, gloves, antiseptics, T-shirts, and caps.
Participants who collected the most waste and showed active engagement were awarded with diplomas, certificates of appreciation, and memorable gifts in various nominations.
This eco-action contributed to maintaining environmental cleanliness, strengthening public ecological responsibility and awareness, reducing waste, and expanding knowledge about recycling practices.
Furthermore, one of the key objectives of the event was to promote a culture of sustainable consumption and production, as well as to raise awareness of circular economy principles.
This eco-action serves to ensure regional cleanliness, strengthen the sense of environmental responsibility and involvement within the community, and expand public understanding of waste reduction and recycling.

10. Trip to Rider’s school
The Youth Union of Navoi State University organized an educational and motivational trip for first-year students of the Faculty of Exact Sciences to the “Chavandozlar Maktabi” (Riders’ School) under the National Guard of Navoi City.
During the visit, students, accompanied by their teachers, learned about the traditions of horseback riding — a symbol of courage, endurance, and discipline deeply rooted in Uzbekistan’s cultural heritage. The experience encouraged qualities such as confidence, patience, and resilience, helping young people strengthen both body and spirit. Through direct interaction with the staff of the Riders’ School, students were inspired by stories of service, patriotism, and loyalty to the Motherland, fostering a strong sense of civic responsibility and national pride.
This event also supports the principles of sustainable development. By promoting physical activity, cultural education, and ethical values, the initiative contributes to the holistic development of students — preparing them to become responsible, healthy, and socially active citizens.
11. “Run Student!” Marathon
A large-scale sports event — the “Talaba Yugur” (Run, Student!) marathon — was held in Navoi City under the initiative of the Youth Union to promote a healthy and active lifestyle among young people. The marathon brought together students from higher education institutions and youth from local communities, uniting them in the spirit of health, energy, and togetherness.
Participants covered a 3-kilometer distance along the “Yoshlik” Stadium route, with more than 2,000 sports enthusiasts taking part. Winners were determined in several categories — men’s and women’s divisions, as well as by participating institutions and organizations. The main goal of the project was to encourage regular physical activity, foster community engagement, and promote a culture of healthy living among young people and the wider population. “Talaba Yugur” was not just a race — it was an inspiring step toward physical and spiritual growth, emphasizing the importance of well-being and sustainable development through active, healthy lifestyles.
12. “Health Volunteers Movement” — A Key Initiative for Youth and Community Well-being
A meeting on the topic “Health Volunteers Movement” was organized with the participation of students from the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Medicine at Navoi State University. The event was held at a high level, in a meaningful atmosphere of open dialogue.
The guest speaker, Shirin Abidova Rahimjanovna, shared her insights on the humanitarian essence of volunteerism, its role in societal development, and its importance within the healthcare system.
During the meeting, students actively engaged in discussions, asked detailed questions, and expressed their own ideas and suggestions. The interactive format of the event helped participants deepen their understanding of volunteer activities and their social significance.
As a result, a growing interest and a stronger sense of responsibility toward volunteering among young people were clearly observed.
13. Joint Cleanup Action Held by the Ecological Party of Uzbekistan and Navoi State University
A regional cleanup action was organized in collaboration with the Navoi City Council of the Ecological Party of Uzbekistan and the Faculty of Languages at Navoi State University.
The event saw active participation from community activists, professors, and students, who worked together to collect waste and improve the local environment. During the campaign, plastic and paper waste were sorted and placed in designated recycling bins, and the area was cleared of overgrown weeds and debris.
This initiative served not only to beautify the region but also to strengthen environmental responsibility and awareness among the youth regarding the importance of cleanliness and nature preservation.
14. “National Costume Day” at Navoi State University
Within the framework of “National Costume Day”, a series of large-scale spiritual and educational events were organized at the Faculty of Languages and the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Medicine of Navoi State University.
The events were actively led and implemented by students, who took part in national attire and demonstrated their respect for Uzbek traditions, cultural heritage, and national values.
At the Faculty of Languages, the “National Identity” challenge was held, in which students from the Uzbek Language and Literature as well as Karakalpak Language and Literature programs participated in national-themed presentations and performances. The event was conducted under the guidance of the Deputy Dean for Youth Affairs and group tutors, and aimed to promote national values in a modern and engaging format.
At the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Medicine, cultural performances, theatrical scenes, and educational discussions were organized, focusing on national traditions and customs. Participants were provided with detailed information about the history, aesthetic value, and spiritual significance of national costumes.
Throughout the week, both faculties demonstrated strong student involvement and initiative, contributing to the strengthening of national pride, patriotism, and cultural identity among young people. “National Costume Day” served not only as a festive event but also as an important initiative aimed at fostering spiritual development and respect for national heritage among the younger generation.
15. Change does not need to be big — what matters is that it starts with responsibility!
The Student Council Information Service of Navoi State University carried out an environmental initiative. A practical step was taken toward building a culture of cleanliness and responsibility, encouraging people not to be indifferent to the environment.
This initiative reminds us that real change is not in slogans, but in actions. Every clean space is the right choice made for the future.
The initiative started today — for a greener tomorrow.
16. Eco-Plogging Organized at Our University!
In order to promote environmental protection, sustainable living, and ecological awareness among students, an eco-plogging campaign was successfully organized on the university campus.
During the activity, students actively participated in collecting waste while jogging and cleaning designated areas of the campus. Participants were divided into small groups and contributed to improving cleanliness, sorting collected waste, and maintaining a healthier environment.
The initiative aimed to develop a sense of responsibility toward nature, encourage eco-friendly habits, and strengthen environmental culture within the university community.
The event once again demonstrated that small actions, when done collectively, can lead to significant positive changes for the environment.
17. “National and Active Games”
Navoi State University has launched the “Students’ Spring — 2025” project aimed at organizing meaningful and engaging activities for students during their free time. Within the framework of this project, a variety of competitions, cultural and educational events, entertainment programs, and sports tournaments will be held throughout the season.
According to the approved schedule, the first event — the “National and Active Games” competition — took place early this morning in cooperation with the Youth Union Council of Navoi Region. This event was organized by the Youth Union Council of Navoi State University to promote sustainable development principles and encourage a healthy lifestyle among students. The project reflects the university’s commitment to fostering active, creative, and socially responsible youth through diverse and inspiring initiatives.
18. The “Besh Tashabbus Olympiad” sports competitions
The “Besh Tashabbus Olympiad” sports competitions, organized by the Youth Union of Higher Education Institutions, have officially begun. The main goal of this initiative is to promote a healthy lifestyle among students, encourage physical activity, and strengthen teamwork and unity within the youth community.
The competitions are being held in four stages across several disciplines, including mini-football, table tennis, volleyball, athletics, and streetball. In the opening stage, students actively participated in relay games, showcasing their team spirit, enthusiasm, and commitment to fair play. The sports contests are still ongoing, and participants continue to demonstrate energy, determination, and the vibrant spirit of young athletes. These events are part of the Youth Union’s efforts to foster sustainable development and healthy living among university students.
19. Meeting on Anti-corruption
A preventive meeting was organized for students of the Faculty of Languages through the joint initiative of the Anti-Corruption Compliance Control Department and the Youth Union of Navoi State University. During the session, students received detailed explanations on the importance of preventing bribery and corruption in academic processes, including coursework, midterm, and final examinations.
The discussion emphasized the values of honesty, transparency, and academic integrity. In addition, participants were introduced to the structure and activities of the Compliance Department, its current projects, and ongoing initiatives aimed at strengthening institutional integrity. The meeting focused on raising students’ legal awareness and culture, encouraging them to take an active stand against corruption and contribute to creating a fair and transparent academic environment.
20. Over 250 Books Donated to School No. 15 in Karmana District
Within the framework of the “Sharing Enlightenment — Sharing Books” project, another noble initiative was implemented by the Faculty of Exact Sciences of Navoiy State University in cooperation with the Navoiy City Council of the Ecological Party of Uzbekistan and local entrepreneurs.
As part of the initiative, volunteer students of the faculty, together with professors and teachers, visited General Secondary School No. 15 in Karmana district and donated more than 250 books of fiction and poetry collections to school students and teachers.
Presenting books as gifts is one of the most effective ways of spreading knowledge and culture among people. Sharing books with different layers of society helps to enrich their knowledge, thinking, and worldview.
21. An environmental seminar-training
An environmental seminar-training was held at Navoi State University by participation of members of the “Young Ecologists Club.” The event was attended by A. Zakirov, the university’s youth leader, and K. Sultonmurodov, Chairman of the Young Ecologists Movement Council. They provided detailed information to students about current environmental issues, ways to address them, and the importance of active youth participation in protecting the environment. During the training, students learned about improving their environmental literacy, taking part in eco-projects, and understanding each individual’s role and responsibility in nature conservation. Such seminar-trainings play a vital role in enhancing young people’s ecological awareness and strengthening their commitment to protecting and preserving the natural environment.
