Women’s Support Community at Navoi State University
The Women’s Support Community of Navoi State University is committed to fostering gender awareness and promoting equality among students, staff, and the wider community. Its primary mission is to advocate for women’s rights and to raise awareness about the true significance of gender equality in social, academic, and professional life.
To achieve these objectives, the community actively organizes a wide range of academic, technological, medical, cultural, and social initiatives aimed at empowering women and creating a supportive university environment.
The Women’s Support Community was established by the Rector’s official order, and all members, including faculty and departmental coordinators, were appointed according to rector’s order as well.
A distinctive feature of the Community’s structure is that each faculty and department has its own appointed coordinator from the Women’s Support Community. These coordinators are responsible for:
· Monitoring and guiding the implementation of the Community’s initiatives within their departments.
· Providing support to female students and staff members.
· Reporting to the central Community Council about the needs, challenges, and progress of gender-related activities.
· Ensuring that all gender awareness and empowerment programs are effectively conducted at the grassroots level.
Key Goals of the Women’s Support Community:
-Promoting Mental and Emotional Well-being: Helping female students maintain a balanced life, avoiding both emotional distress and aggression through counseling, mentorship, and positive engagement.
-Fostering Women’s Development: Encouraging women’s participation and leadership in every sphere of university life — academic, social, and professional.
