1. Introduction
Navoi State University (NSU) is dedicated to upholding the principles of decent work and economic growth as defined under Sustainable Development Goal 8. The University rejects any form of forced labour, human trafficking, or child exploitation, aligning its operations with the Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan, ILO conventions, and international human rights standards.
2. Purpose and Objectives
The primary goal of this policy is to ensure that NSU and all its affiliates operate free from exploitative labour practices. Objectives include:
  • Safeguarding the rights and welfare of all employees and students.
  • Implementing strict due diligence in hiring and procurement processes.
  • Promoting transparency and accountability in the university’s operations.
  • Building awareness on ethical labour practices across the NSU community.
3. Scope and Applicability
This policy applies to all academic, administrative, and technical staff; students; researchers; contractors; and vendors. It extends to all NSU campuses, affiliated centers, and outsourced services.
